So I've teamed up with artists that are serious, and we attempted to create something beautiful. Below is what I walk away with, including the experience of working with the artists themselves of course! I know I've done it well, when an artist offers to work with me some more. In reality that does not happen too often though, most people just move on and our paths never cross again.
Skill levels we're quite different between everyone I've worked with over the years, however I treated each artist professionally. Perhaps we're just all dreamers after all, but the saying goes "when you cease to dream, you cease to exist". Each artist was rewarded with a 100% owned original high quality (almost always free) production from this studio. To not be a commercial studio has it's challenges for sure, for example: people aren't much aware of this as a credible service. On the flip side: to not have to be dependent on it for making a profit allows me to do things in a flexible way. And having a choice on whom and what to work with, is priceless.
